Large hydraulic cylinder for Foregemasters

Another large cylinder manufactured for Sheffield Forgemasters.

This time the cylinder was an all stainless steel affair for water operation.

In desperate need of a replacement for their Press Shop tool change cylinder, Forgemasters approached Shepcote for its replacement.

Measuring 590mm in the bore and over 7.6 metres in length.

Capable of producing 425 tonnes of force and with double cushioning, the cylinder was no lightweight or easy job.
